Our Oak Tree

Our old oak tree fell last night
We knew that it would happen
A big hole’s now in plain sight
And our yard is so misshapen

Acorns, we fell from that tree
Thought it’d always be there
Standing steady, tall and free
Singing so proud up in the air

Everyone from the neighborhood
And our cousins came around
Said goodbye where that tree stood
We’ve become the oak trees now
